Originally the site of the first school house in Pembroke and a 250 year-old barn, these two
structures were joined together 25 years ago. The complex has experienced many changes over
the years and the integrity of the structure has intensionally been preserved keeping its rustic authenticity, giving Utopia Place a warm country feel.
In 1982 Marie Goldman started Personal Best Ltd (renamed Personal Best Salon and Utopia Day Spa in 1998 - the entire complex is called Utopia Place) as the first truly full-service day spa on the South Shore.
Our latest addition, the Bistro at Utopia Place, where guests are invited to conclude their
treatments by joining us for a relaxing meal, a fine dessert, or a popular Martini. And for those
on-the-go, complete meals (individual or family), hearty soups, and signature salads are available for take-out.
We are excited to announce that in 2006 our Place is your Place. We are currently drawing up the design and service plans for the Great Room. In our Great Room, Utopia Place clients can host all types of parties and small business meetings with all the best amenities either from the spa or the Bistro.
